Monster Truck Jam 2007

Oh to be a kid again. Ok I really did turn into a kid. We had a blast . We headed out Saturday and met Jackie, Albert , Bricen, Jessica, Troy and Payton at Food lion in Lakewylie at 3:00 to head to the 2007 Monster Truck Jam at Lowes Motor Speedway dirt track. I regret so bad not having our camcorder to record the ooohhhs and awwwwss from those little boys. Their eyes were so big it was priceless. If you took a can of full throttle energy drink you got into a pre pit show for free. You could get up close and personal with the super duper monster trucks. Sage couldn't belive just how big the tires were. He was more amazed at the tires than the trucks.

After the pit show we headed out in the very hot hot hot weather (poor jessica who is 6 months prego) to eat our tailgate food. Troy grilled us hotdogs that were so good. Jackie made up homemade to die for choclate chip cookies and brownies. The boys really didn't care about the food they were just playing on a blanket with their Match box monster trucks. Payton was nice enougth to suprise them with grave digger isn't that sweet?

With a full belly and relaxed we headed up to the track for the race. To see all that dirt is what the boys couldn't belive. Deep down I know Sage was thinking he could get real dirty in that. They started off with dirt track cars racing and crashing that was pretty funny. Then here come the monster trucks all loud and big . You would have thought Sage had been to one of these shows before due to his cheering , screaming and arms waving in the air it was so funny. He just kept screaming Yeah go trucks .

It ended very late and the boys did fantastic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We will definetly be going back again..Sage will make sure of it..

Our little Marli is 5 mths and has 2 teeth :(

Our little angel is growing up way way way to fast. She is rolling over , has 2 teeth etc. Its crazy . Why can't they stay babies longer. She was sleeping all night but as soon as she started teething we have has some restless night of winning in her sleep. But I can't imagine cutting all those teeth either. We love her so much and so does her brother. If she is napping and not in sight he gets so worried. Its cute. I am so happy we decided to have them 2 yrs apart so far so good and in a couple of years they will playing together running around , fighting I can't wait.

House Projects will we ever be 100% finished??

Ok 1/2 way there in getting the inside of the house the way we want it. To do it right you do a little at a time and set goals. Well our first goal was to paint our forier , Living room, and Kitchen. I am totally happy with the way everything tured out. I can't tell you how many times we changed our minds about the colors and we kept going back to the ones that we started off with. The forier is caramel, Living room is coffee and the kitchen is chive all the colors out of our curtains my mother in law made me. Now with all that done we still have a lot more rooms to go and outside yard work that I don't even want to think about :( Just finding time if we could find the time it would be fun. The kids room were the first rooms we did when we bought the house (I wanted them to have cute rooms and be happy in them ) Sage's of couse is very boyish ( per daddy it can't be GAY) ha ha .. Marli's room is beautiful thanks to aunt Shelley for coming into town one weekend to do it while we were pregnant with little miss. After we painted we got our new couch and ottoman delivered and I LOVE IT!!!!!! It has a teflon protection on it to die for... Marli spit up on it and it just wiped right off... Very happy Mommy!!!!

Oh the joy of kids.. Sage has been so much fun here lately. Wednesday Bricen came over for a playdate while Miss Jackie did some real estate stuff. The boys were terriffic. They are getting into pretending and its soooo cute.. Jackie came to get Bricen and we all went to Eagles nest for mommy kid time.. Jackie held Marli for a little while so I could eat (that was nice) and the boys were great...

Friday 7-27 We took the boys to Monkey Joes and the way these boys like to Jump its a perfect place to release there energy.. They played on jummpy things , slides and ate pizza. We left there and for some reason Jackie and I always have to stop by Target. I had to get Sage a poopoo prize for poopooing in the potty for the first time ever at MEMES house. So proud of him. He almost has peeing down 90% of it .. But he has never wanted to poop. So he deserved a big prize. On the way to Target I told him that we were going to get him a poopoo prize and he already knew he wanted a red trash truck. I don't know where that came from but thats what he got and slept with and it plays this terrorizing song (sorry) but after 1000 times you would hate this too ... its goes to the dump to the dump to the dump dump dump.. repeat.. yeay!!!!!!! but he liked it and thats allthat mattered. Nana and Pappy had Marli during this time didn't think chasing Sage around and a stroller would suit at Monkey Joes.. :) Its was fun and can't wait to do all the play dates again.. We love us some Bricen..

Rodeo Time...Saturday July 14,2007

We had a ball... It was worth a million dollars watching Sage's face see the real cowboys and horses... It started kinda late for a 2 1/2 yr old but hey it was the weekend.. you gotta live. So we headed to the Clover Rodeo... We did pony rides, ate cotton candy and hollared NONO to the mean bulls. Sage got his first real western belt and belt buckle.. Marli was an angel as always getting the attention for being such a cute girl and just sitting in her stroller looking around.... We left just a little bit before it ended so we could avoid the crazy traffic.. yes we can have traffic in clover. :)

Okay I am behind on my blogging.. opppss.. Where do I start cause I can't remember yesterday.. I guess I will just start with fun on the 4th... The Satruday before the forth Jackie, Bricen, Sage, Marli,Jacquelyn and I went to Miss Jans church for a 4th Celebration.. The boys had a ball.. The famous little blue choo was there and to Sage and Bricen this is like the most amazing thing ever.. Its like they saw a movie star.. ha They rode the train, jumped in Jummy houses, and ate good ole grilled out hotdogs and hamburgers . Then ya know it wouldn't be a day out if Jackie and I didn't stop by the mall. :) I got Marli a few things needed then just had fun walking around.. We looked funny cause Jackie pushed Bricen, I pushed Marli and Jacq pushed Sage.. It was so funny.. We had a blast..

Okay on the 4th..... We went and saw Pawpaw Neil my daddy for a few... Then came home got the kids down for there nap before heading off to Wes's parents Gigi and Pop pop.. We had a cookout and rode 4 wheelers then watched fireworks... Shelley was home from Mississippi.. It was so good seeing her.. Her and Alex are fixing to move back to Texas so were kinda sad cause at least when she was in Miss we could get in the car and go see her.. Now we;ll have to fly.. I'll do it but I am not a fan of airplanes.. esp after 9-11... But I will do it.. You still have to live your life and I just have that fear now and I can't help it..

July 5 is my mommas birthday so the kids had fun giving her the gift certificate and flip flops and singing happy birthday (sage's fav song)..

Thats it for now.. I have our cookout to update on but I don't have my pic downloaded yet so I'll blog shortley...
